Did you know that 80% of businesses in Colorado employ 50 or fewer employees? But you don't need to be a small business to encourage entrpreneurial thinking. And you don't need to wait until high school to begin thinking as an entrepreneur. The Jabaily Center helps educators and business leaders apply critical and entrepreneurial thinking within your existing classrooms and the workplace.

The Center will customize seminars and workshops to meet your organization's needs. We provide one-day overview sessions, two to five day seminars, as well as ongoing support.

Participants will gain a general understanding of:

Math-in-CTE (Career and Technical Education)

Whether you intend to use CTE classes to improve your students’ math scores or to make math more applicable to the 21st Century workplace, our contextualized math seminars will reignite your enthusiasm for teaching. We will help you infuse mathematics into any curriculum area. Your CTE and math teams will learn the necessary components of a rigorous contextualized Geometry course. Students actually build a home in class (other capstone projects are available). Our seminars are research-based and guaranteed to build your students’ interest in learning.

Click on the link below to hear directly from students, parents, and business leaders about the benefits of our contextualized approach to mathematics. Our work is consistent with research conducted by the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education (fall 2005). Students who engage in Math-in-CTE curricula show significantly higher standardized math scores as compared to students in regular math classes. By infusing math into CTE and geometry into the construction curriculum, students see the relevance of math and develop skill sets necessary for success in the 21st Century global marketplace. Test scores for Geometry in Construction are available at www.geometryinconstruction.org.
